A leadership gift from Dick Pogue supports undergraduate students in the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs.
The Richard W. and Patricia R. Pogue Endowment Fund will support an annual scholarship for a junior or senior studying in the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs. Preference will go to students participating in the annual Columbus Seminar, which gives students direct experience with the institutions and leaders of Ohio’s state government.
Civic leader Dick Pogue established this fund to express his strong belief in the future of Northeast Ohio and the importance of CSU in educating the leaders of tomorrow.
Throughout his distinguished career, Pogue, former Managing Partner and now Senior Advisor at Jones Day, has shared his legal expertise and financial resources generously in support of educational, economic development, arts and medical causes. A trusted advisor and visionary leader, he is an emeritus member of CSU’s Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs Visiting Committee, a former chairman of the Cleveland Foundation, the Greater Cleveland Growth Association and the Greater Cleveland Roundtable.
A strong supporter of higher education, he served as interim executive director of the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education, chair of the Ohio Governor’s Commission on Higher Education and the Economy, and was founding trustee of the Ohio Business Alliance on Higher Education and the Economy.
