Under the direction of Chair Nancy McCann, CSU Foundation Board members have formed five teams for a friendly competition to assist in raising $250,000 toward the over $1 million in support of Radiance scholarships. Each team is challenged to raise an additional $50,000 in new gifts from the alumni, friends and family.
Since its inception in 2011, Radiance has raised more than $3.7 million in support of scholarships, helping 1,186 students stay in school and on track to graduation. Radiance co-chairs Tom Adler, CSU Trustee, and Tim Cosgrove, CSU Foundation Board member, have been instrumental in Radiance’s fundraising success, increasing the dollars raised from $375,000 in 2011 to CSU’s current goal of $1.25 million. CSU students continue to benefit from the outpouring of support.
“The Radiance scholarship has pushed me to be successful and to stay on track with my degree,” says Vektorya, an occupational therapy student.
This year, we are pleased to announce that civic leader and philanthropist Steve Minter, former president and executive director of The Cleveland Foundation, and current Executive-in-Residence at CSU’s Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, will be presented with the President’s Medal, CSU’s highest non-academic honor, at Radiance. We hope that you will be able to join us for this event.
