Nancy W. McCann is an inspirational civic leader known for giving her all to the organizations she serves. As president and treasurer of the John P. Murphy Foundation and the Kulas Foundation, she facilitates support for the arts, education and more. As the tireless chair of the CSU Foundation, she supports excellent and accessible higher education.
A member of the CSU Foundation Board of Directors since 2010, McCann fully understands the importance of Radiance scholarships to keeping CSU students on track to graduation. As a first-year board chair, she promoted a new friendly competition to ensure strong support for Radiance 2016.
McCann challenged board members to form five teams that would solicit new Radiance sponsors and raise $250,000 each, boosting the overall Radiance goal to over $1 million. Her colleagues enthusiastically took up the challenge and are well on the way to meeting that goal.
In addition, she recently established the Nancy W. McCann Endowed Music Scholarship to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in music in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.
McCann serves on the Leadership Cabinet for ENGAGE: The Campaign for Cleveland State University. All gifts to Radiance, as well as gifts such as her endowed scholarship, are helping ENGAGE reach its $100 million goal.
